Cassiano’s background as a graphic designer has consistently lent something extraordinary to each of his films: they are carefully handcrafted audiovisual pieces, that work like a real visual storytelling punch.
He started his career shooting music videos for artists such as Tiga, Electrelane and The Emperor Machine before going into commercials and taking his generous share of awards. His talent has been recognized by the BBC, Reanjmacia Film Festival, London International Awards, Clio, Ciclope, El Ojo De Iberoamerica, Channel4’s Talent Awards and the D&AD.
Cassiano also works in close collaboration with cinematographer André Faccioli, who is equally widely awarded – 2 D&AD yellow Pencils, Gold and Silver Lions in Cannes, the ADC Awards and the Young Guns International Advertising Awards, among others. Working under the name Träuma, the duo challenges the boundaries between cinema and advertising, creating involving, sensorial delights.
Cassiano’s first fictional work, an episode for FOX Brazil’s series “Contos do Edgar“, debuted among the most watched in 2013. He is currently developing his own TV series.
